此事在网上被披露之后引起了网友的强烈情绪，“开发公司”索奥尔的论坛随即被愤怒的玩家挤爆，大量声讨索奥尔“无耻抄袭”的帖子被纷纷转载。绝大部分网友均认为这种抄袭的行径绝无可取之处，亦有网友戏称这是“拿来主义”实践行动。而在《骑马与砍杀》被抄袭事件在国内闹得沸沸扬扬之时，远在土耳其的游戏制作人也从网上得知自己游戏被中国游戏代理商抄袭的消息，他们在论坛上贴出了一则公告：
Chinese players have a bad news to tell you,come in please!
Nope, they don't have the right to publish it. That's China. They've made a crack for M&B and now sell the game. The M&B developpers can't do much about it.
Those who buy "the blade knight" are just pissed when the new version comes out. The crack won't work on it and they'll either have to buy M&B or continue playing the old version.
Why didn't they just wait for the completed version? Why crack an incomplete game?
China waits for no man.
